This event is your ticket to get into the Holiday Spirit! This is your chance to come out in your craziest holiday sweaters or colors and enjoy a nice run, jog, or stroll through the downtown area on accessible paths. A 5K (3.1 mile) course and 1 Mile course is offered.

This joyful event begins on Saturday, December 7 at 8:30 am at NIBCO Water and Ice park and is the kick off to Winterfest in Elkhart that includes a full day of activities starting with Breakfast with Santa at the Fire Station for $2, Ice skating, special sales, Letters to Santa and a parade and tree lighting ceremony!

All proceeds go to the Elkhart Education Foundation which provides Elkhart Community Schools students and staff with the tools they need to succeed, including a school supply store that provides school supplies to the students who need them, a Summer program for Elementary Students, a summer internship for High School and a student-led, STEAM based program for middle schoolers, along with many other programs in support of Elkhart Community Schools.

This is an easy way to support our local teachers and do something for yourself as well!

After you are finished, we’ll have cocoa, cookies and fruit to enjoy!

Awards will be give to the top three overall runners and first place in 15 age groups, along with award for the ugliest sweater!
