SPARK

SPARK is a year-round educational enrichment curriculum that utilizes project-based learning. Our goal is to engage 7th and 8th grade students in high level work so that they can: take ownership of their learning; actively solve problems; & apply what they have learned to real-world situations.

SPARK is an after school STEAM program for middle school students in Elkhart Community Schools. During the 23-24 year, EEF worked with 7th and 8th grade students at Pierre Moran Middle School and Northside Middle School to help SPARK a love of learning.

During the academic year, students meet after school for an hour, four days a week. By the end of the project, students will gain an appreciation for STEM subjects, and a deeper connection with our community.

If your student is at Pierre Moran or Northside Middle Schools and you would like to enroll in SPARK, please contact Juan Carlos Alarcon, Director of Educational Programming.

If you would like to learn more about SPARK and to support our efforts, please contact Ellen Williams, Executive Director.
